Windsor

Conceived as a contemporary urban retreat, this residence in Windsor responds to the client’s brief to transform a compact inner-city site into a functional, landscape-driven oasis. The design carefully balances built form and greenery, using layered planting and a restrained material palette to soften the architectural expression while enhancing the experience of the outdoor spaces.

The arrival sequence is defined by Alba Filetti paving to the driveway and entry paths, providing a robust and enduring surface that complements the home’s contemporary architecture. The linear qualities of the paving are moderated by richly layered planting, creating a welcoming threshold between the public realm and the residence.

To the rear, Ardenne Tumbled limestone establishes a warm, tactile landscape that extends the living spaces outdoors. Framing the inground spa and integrated barbecue area, the material palette reinforces a relaxed and intimate atmosphere, creating a private sanctuary that contrasts with the surrounding urban context.
